A while ago, there was an annoying "bot" problem in Rocket League. Due to how the game works, I suspect Epic was behind all of them and just let the community believe it was "hackers". There's no way local bots would ever have enough data to do anything useful in an online match.
I don’t see why transparency is bad here. People should be allowed to make decisions using whatever information they want.
